The Photographer

Guibert | Lefevre | Lemercier

a review of the book by Beate Chelette

The photography of Lefevre included in this book will be on exhibit in Canada and US. Check the website for details.

“The photographer” is a documentary book about Didier Lefevre’s first trip to Afghanistan in 1986 with a mission of Doctors Without Borders or MSF who are smuggle themselves to Afghanistan to build a hospital. His true story is told in comic book style with mixtures of photos taken by Lefevre and drawings by Emmauel Guibert.

The book contains details of their trip and experience in Afghanistan of 1986 when Mujahideen were fighting the Russians. I highly recommend the book; the book is hard to put down. You also get a chance to learn about MSF’s work in war torn countries such as Afghanistan.

It doesn’t matter which side of the debate you are on. I think we can all agree that watching how we use the resources and cutting down the waste can only help our mother earth.
